Candolim is a great place to to unwind and relax, soaking up the Goan way of life. There is plenty to see and do with Goa steeped in ancient and modern history.
The Portuguese first found Goa in the 1500's and left Goa in the 1960's. The Portuguese influence can still be seen in Goan architecture. For example, Fort Aguada, built in 1612 by the Portuguese to guard the entrance of the Mandovi River from Dutch and other invaders, is well worth an early morning boat trip.
Wednesday mornings are often quiet at the beach shack as our guests often visit the Anjuna Beach market. Take a trip to the market by boat, chances are you may see a dolphin or two on the way, and enjoy a morning browsing and bartering for all sorts of Indian wares.
